Quiche Lorraine

1 Basic 9" Crust (unbaked)

6 slices bacon (uncooked)

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 1/2 cups shredded swiss cheese

1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk

3 eggs

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp black pepper

1/8 tsp nutmeg

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook bacon in skillet.  When it starts to brown, add the onion.  Cook until bacon is crisp, then drain.

Sprinkle the cheese into the bottom of the pie crust.

Top cheese with bacon and onion mixture.

Mix together the evaporated milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.  Pour into crust.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.  Cool before serving.
